Personal Statement:

I am a writer based in Perth, Western Australia with a deep passion for entertainment writing. Writing about film is gives me a chance to share my passion for the arts and this site will hopefully give readers a more detailed look into the artform and all of its glories.

Education:

Curtin University, Western Australia. 

Bachelor of Arts: Journalism & Professional Writing and Publishing.

Experience: 

I have been a writer for Curtin University's Grok Magazine since March 2018 having written over thirty reviews as well as many feature pieces for the publication's print editions. Content delivered for such publication can be found readily on this blog. I have written reviews and feature pieces for my own personal blog since January 2017 on my site Industrial Write & Magic.

I have also had a variety of news pieces published for Curtin University's Western Independent.

Skills:

- I have written in a multitude of different styles including news style and radio style as learned during my Journalism course.

- I have developed skills in writing in different forms including creative writing, magazine writing, review writing, academic writing, feature writing, speech writing and report writing during my time across the Professional Writing and Publishing course, along with the aforementioned radio and news writing across the Journalism course.

- I have accrued skills in copy-editing and structural editing which has allowed me to enhance my communication pedigree and has helped improve my writing practice.

- When writing for Curtin's Western Independent I improved my ability to speak to talents and I was able to hone my skills in interviewing considerably. It has also vastly improved my ability to work under strict time constraints and in a pressure-fuelled environment.

- Writing for Grok has allowed me to become more experienced in writing review and feature content and has allowed my content to reach a wider audience.
